More than Medals was born from a desire to share with the world, the lessons that my friends in the parasport community have taught me. By sharing their stories, we want to offer listeners the opportunity to get to know some of my favourite humans, who also happen to be Paralympic Champions, World Champions, World Record holders and disability advocates.

James and Leanne grew up together in Staffordshire, England. In kindergarten they declared their love for each other. They even said they were going to get married one day. Unfortunately, Leanne moved to Canada when she was 7. While they stayed in touch, they didn't meet again until 20-years later at a race Leanne had in Leeds, England in 2021. ​​
Inspired by the event James encourage Leanne to tell her story and so the podcast More Than Medals was born.

James attended the Paris 2024 Paralympics where he watched Leanne along with 23 of her family members and friends as she brought home Canada its first medal for women in triathlon.
